“Working with Ines McNeil in a group coaching program has been a really valuable experience for me as I sought to relaunch and redesign my business after an extended maternity leave. I was spinning my wheels, constantly overthinking every little decision until I was so confused about what direction I should take. The group coaching program helped me identify what types of clients I really want to work with and started me on the path to designing programs specifically to attract those clients.
About halfway through the group coaching program, I felt stuck. I was having trouble letting go of the feeling that I should be concurrently designing programs for ALL the types of people and pets that I want to work with, not just one (at the outset). Instead of just going through the decision-making process with me, Ines first asked me a tough question: “what are you scared of?” She helped me realize that I was worried about putting all my training eggs into one “signature service” basket (even temporarily) because I felt that hiding behind multiple services meant that failure/less-than-perfect results in my signature service wouldn’t matter as much. I was so surprised that diving into my anxieties about my business really helped me gain clarity in the direction I wanted to go with it, and gave me the jumpstart I needed to really embrace the process.
I really appreciated the workbook that was the syllabus for the course. Ines made it clear that it was the order of the steps that was important, not necessarily how quickly the workbook was completed. I had previously seen many of the exercises and templates in other marketing resources, but never laid out in the exact order that was needed to progress from decision to decision in a coherent way. Although I wasn’t able to fully complete the workbook during the month-long program, I was able to get far enough to land two high end clients, both paying me thousands of dollars for each of their training programs!
